Obituary of Barbara Craig
CRAIG: Barbara Craig of Souris, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 19, 2015, while visiting her daughters and great grandchildren in Melville, Saskatchewan. Barb was born on May 11, 1939, to Evelyn and Fredrick Banks in Toronto, Ontario. She lost her father to scarlet fever when she was nine years old. Barb met and married her husband, Boyd Craig, in Toronto on December 7, 1957. Following the birth of their first son, they moved to Dauphin, Manitoba. Barb had four more children before moving to Brandon in 1971. Barb and Boyd retired and moved to their hobby farm outside of Souris in 1998. Boyd passed away in 2007. Barb is survived by her children: Judith (John), Fred (Sandee), Alan (Dawn), Charlotte and Cynthia, as well as 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A graveside service will held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be held following the graveside service at Barb's home in Souris.
