I always looked forward to Helen's return in the spring from Florida, to see her smiling face when she came to DI I knew we would be embraced in her life stories. Whenever she came in to work we so looked forward to her saying "Have I got a story for you!".
Never a boring moment with Helen around, she was always entertaining, sometimes trying her hand at matchmaking with the patient's when taking them to the proper department for their exams. Everybody loved Helen, never knew anybody with bigger heart & soul.
I feel very blessed to have known & loved this wonderful lady. Loved her spirit, her outlook on life & living. I will miss you dearly my good friend. Never good-bye, til we meet again.

Helen was a tremendous woman and volunteer. She enjoyed attending to the Hospital once or twice weekly to help guide patients in Diagnostic Imaging. She easily offered her kindness to help patients get to their appointments. All who worked with her enjoyed stories of her travels, her family, the terrific garage sale treasures, her homemade sweets, jams and jellies. She shared her love of life and her joy of cooking, especially rhubarb. She was a genuinely kind woman who committed herself to making life good for all who surrounded her. We will miss her presence.
My condolences to her family.

My deepest condolences on the loss of a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. I grew up hearing stories of Mrs Lapierre from my own mother (Gysele Sauvé) who loved her dearly. I know they shared many wonderful times together throughout the years and she was the reason my parents wintered in Melbourne for several years until mom became unwell. I know there's a party going on in heaven now! Thinking of you at this difficult time.
Helene (Sauvé) Perrier, Ottawa
