My deepest sympathy to the family. I worked with Elsie in the china department in Ashdown's from 1968-1971. I really admired her and learnt so much in how to deal with people as well as learning about all the wonderful items that were in the store. She was a very true and kind person. May she rest in peace. May God bless you all. Wreatha (Turner) Curtis, Esterhazy, Sask.

Rose Smith posted a condolence

It's Rose Smith. My very first memory of Aunt Elsie was wow she's a classy lady and sooooo nice! Aunt Elsie worked at Jo-Ann's Bridal Shop which use to be across from Canada Trust. When I went in there shopping for a wedding dress....there she was. She did all my fittings on my dress. I was sick for a few months and kept loosing weight so every time I went in she kept having to take it in! It wasn't until the 3rd visit I realized that this sweet classy lady was going to be my Aunt! She was there for my wedding with Uncle Morris. She came to everyone's baby or bridal shower. We would always see them out shopping and have our catch up time. Uncle Morris and her always had a kind word and lots of hugs for Rick & I. We will miss you Aunt Elsie. You were someone I truly admired! Rest in Peace. Rick & Rose Smith
