Marg/Mrs.Yeomans was a wonderful lady. She was dedicated to her family, community and church. It was her mission in life to share her love of community and church with the children and youth, and she has done this successfully for as long as I can remember. Our community has suffered a huge loss at her passing. Hopefully each of us has learned through Marg the importance of her mission and do our best to carry on her legacy.
Our thoughts go out to her family.

Mark, Bonnie, Stacy, Kaitlyn and Bo,
I was so saddened to hear of such a great loss. Margaret was such a special lady, I never saw her without a big smile on her face. She had such a contagious laugh and I loved bumping into her and catching up on how everyone was doing. We are all very fortunate to have known such an amazing women and to have such fond memories to cherish. Take comfort in all of the wonderful memories, stories, and laughs that you have shared with her and know that she is always watching over you.
Thinking of you all,
Mindy Jamieson (Joynt)

Our deepest sympathies to all the family. Margaret was a very kind lady and our family enjoyed visiting with her when she came into Winnipeg to see Gladys, my mother. Margaret, Fred & Aunt Frances were hosts to the wonderful Yeomans' Farm !00th Anniversary Family Reunion. Margaret welcomed the extended Yeomans' family from far and wide and had a strong sense of tradition. We have fond memories of her.
Sincerely,
Murray & Joanne Conklin, Michael, Reena, Rohan & Coltan Conklin and Amelie, Jay, Ayva & Aidan Findlay.

I am so saddened to hear of Aunt Margaret's death. Aunt Margaret was so important to me growing up and spending summers in Manitoba on the farm. There were so many things that she taught me as a child and I don't think she knew how valuable some of the lessons were. She taught me how important cheerfulness is by her attitude towards her family, her tasks and her visitors. I was always so excited about going to the farm because she would seem so happy to see me and always appeared so glad I was there, while in retrospect it could not have been very convenient. She taught me fairness as I remember inevitable squabbles and skirmishes with my cousins and she would never automatically take anyone's side without listening to everything first. I was always amazed that she listened to us all before making a decision and I learned to listen before passing judgement. She taught me enthusiasm and how to work hard at self-directed tasks. Even the tasks that were not that exciting to a kid, she always added "something" to make it wonderful; the best veggies in the garden to eat while picking/weeding (small carrots!), showing me how to run the old wringer washer ("I trust you even though its dangerous"), or allowing Janet and I to clean up the old ice house ("what a great clubhouse this will make!").
I remember always wanting to make her laugh (easily done) just to hear her great laugh. I remember her tucking me into bed along with Janet, sometimes in the old sleeping porch upstairs and sometimes in Janet's bed. She would talk to Janet and me for a few minutes, then tuck and kiss. I loved those times, I felt that she loved me as much as she loved her own family and that I was important and cherished. She just had a natural ability to make people and kids feel respected, important and loved. What a wonderful, wonderful gift to a little summertime girl.
Thank you to my cousins for allowing them to share their wonderful mother with me when I was a child. I don't know if you ever knew how absolutely perfect I thought your mother was and how kind she was to me.

I remember being 6 yrs old and trying to have a sleep over but waking up in the middle of the night scared of the sounds outside. Aunt Margaret bundled me up into bed with her and Uncle Fred. I always loved her laugh.

I am saddened to know that Margaret passed away. Margaret and I were good friends during our years in Griswold. I fondly remember horseback riding at their farm and Margaret would come to town and spend time at our house. I am sure she made a wonderful school teacher as she was always such a nice person. Too bad we could not get together in later years due to distance. The last time we visited was at the last Griswold Reunion.
Rest in peace dear friend. Doreen Carstairs (nee McMillan)
