I will always treasure the times when I would come by for a visit to the house on Madison Crescent, initially arriving on my bike and then later by car. More often than not coming by without phoning ahead first (I have since become better at this in my adult years). I will remember that she was always happy when I came to visit. She always had a special way of inviting someone into the house that she shared with Uncle Stan. She was sweet, genuine and real. She loved to laugh. I will always remember this. She loved to serve cookies and tea during our little sit-downs at the kitchen table. The topic du jour wasn't so much what was important but moreso the life lessons that I absorbed during my youth, from her. That being, without realizing as much, the amazing impact that we can make on other people's lives by simply being a good person. Auntie Toots was all that and more. You will be missed greatly but never forgotten.

We do remember the good times. We have special memories of the times we shared at Riverview Apartments during the late '60s and early '70s. She was a special lady!
