Dear Dad, you are together with our Mom (Yvonne), your two daughters June and Audrey. And, now you have with you your youngest son, Darryl. Dad, Darryl was truly the most beautiful person, and was just like you. You have left a wonderful legacy of kindness and goodness, may we all live up to your fine example. Take care, and so happy that Darryl will be in your loving embace once again. Love, your daughter April.

Even though Cyril was not formally my grandpa, he will always be my Grandpa Cyril. I always enjoyed his company. I loved hearing stories of his past. He was such a kind man. Always a smile on his face when I came to see him. I was born on his birthday, Aug. 15. We were always proud that we shared the same day. He unfortunately passed away on my first son's birthday. He understood me, and I had a soft spot in my heart for him. He will always be my grandpa. I miss you so much. Im happy knowing that you are with your beloved wife and family now. I will come visit you in camperville. I love you Grampa. Until We will meet again...

Hi Dad, I was thinking of you today... I really miss your good humour, and positive outlook. Having seen your calm demeanor and your casual day to day living, I take comfort and am able to handle the extreme stress I've been through these last few months. I just wanted to talk to you, and share with others the feelings that I was able to share with you. I was, and ever will be grateful for your influence. I feel you warming my heart, and am grateful I have a piece of you with me always.
Your appreciative, loving daughter,
April

When I am gone... When I come to the end of my journy and I travelled my last weary mile just forget if you can, that I ever frowned, and remember only the smile.Forget unkind words I have spoken. Remember some good I have done.Forget that I ever had heartach, and remember I had loads of fun. Forget that I have stumbled and blundered and some times fell by the way. Remember I have fought some hard battles and won.Ere the close of the day, then forget to grieve for my going, I would not have you sad for a day.But in summer just gather some flowers, and remember the place that I lay.And come in the shade of evening when the sun paints the sky in the west, stand for a few moments beside me, and rememer only my best.
Rest In Peace-

My Grandfather was a great man, who always had kind words to say and a honest opinion to tell, I will always remember traveling to Brandon to spend Christmas as a family together. Just talking to him made you feel like you were someone special. I am incredibly grateful that my children got to meet him and have some time with him before he past onto a new and greater journey. My son Lucas William Sinclair will always be a wonderful reminder of him, being born on his 90th birthday. Love always your Grandson Adam & family. You will be missed.

I was not only a son to Cyril Flamand, but also a brother and a friend. In about 1962, when I was fourteen, I had to quit school to help support the family. We were eight siblings, and now two sisters and our mother deceased. My father gave a lot of knowledge, and a lot of love. I will miss him a lot and will continue to live a better life, your loving son, Fred.

Cyril Flamand, dad. The most honest and fun loving man I've known. Since welcoming me into his family 35 years ago, gave the right advice, and always willing to encourage all your endeavours. You will be missed.

Our Father Cyril is fondly remembered with love and laughter. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. He always had words of encouragement, and praise for deeds well done. We spent many summer days camping and enjoying the great outdoors. He had many stories of the "good old days", and looked forward to family get-togethers for Christmas, birthdays and other special occasions. He could sit for hours listening to Old Time music, and reading his Zane Grey westerns. His kids and grandchildren were brought up to be hard working decent respectful people and he would not tolerate anything less. We love you and miss you always. Love your son Ken and family.

Cyril will always be remembered with love by our family, I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him but the time I did spend was full of his wonderful memories and stories of all the places he traveled and all of his accomplishments!! I'm so happy my children got to meet their great grandfather and will always cherish the memories I have of him. May he rest in peace.

My father, Cyril Flamand was an inspiration to all who knew him, and to also aquaintances who found him memorable. When we lived on Brandon avenue, my father became a caretaker. He had petitioned to have a fence put up across that sewer so the neighbourhood kids wouldn't play there. He had petitioned for the road to be paved and lights added. He also had a volleyball net, basketball area, snowslide (which were popular in those days), and space for a skating rink which he watered, all this for the neighbourhood kids. He also had a neighbourhood lawn mower, and had routinely had the older kids mow their mother's lawn where he provided instruction and praise. Trees were added. One year my father won the city "Lawn of the year", that street was clean and had luscious, well maintained lawns. This was only one memory of a time and place where my dad made a difference for others. This world was a better place with his quiet determination where he found much happiness in the joy of others. I loved my father, and will miss his calming presence. Your daughter, April who knows she had and still has a loving father who most assuredly went to a better place, and left a legacy of pay it forwards along his path.
