I am so sorry for your loss. i remember Winnie as a child. My mother used to get her hair done at her shop in Erickson up on the hill. It was such a treat for my mom to get her hair done but it was also exciting for me. we didn't have much money but Winnie made us feel like we were really special. She had a little broom and she would let me use it to sweep up the hair off the floor. What a privilege for a small girl. she also used to like ripe bananas and would share them with my mother and me. Love eating them today and always think about her kindness every time I have one. She sure was a cool lady and i remember her talking so fondly of her husband. Even at my age I could tell they loved each other very much. Rest in Peace Winnie. You sure gave me some grand memories.
