I love that you remember Alice's Restaurant... I actually started singing it to make Dad laugh and annoy Mom the evening Dad passed. Thank you for being such good friends throughout the years, it means a lot!

We miss Steve very much, all us girls here at the Personal Care home in Rivers. His jokes, and teasing, his laugh and smile. In October when I took over as Activities Director I knew I had to learn how to play crib, and with time Steve had me playing in no time. I even beat him once, of course I rubbed that in all I could. LOL He was the reason we all enjoyed coming to work everyday. He is sadly missed everyday. Thinking of you Fran, Jennifer, Jeff, and Jackie and Families. xoxox

To Francis and family,
Steve fought the good fight with his dreadful disease. Now his fight is over and he can rest in peace.
We have fond memories of our posting in Amaranth and being close friends and neighbours of the Young clan. Steve was always the consummate professional, hard working, no task to large or too small, compassionate, always willing to lend a hand and a dedicated peace officer who gave freely of his time for the betterment of others. His ability to play the 12 string guitar brings back fond memories ie. Alice's Restaurant, etc..
Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
RIP Steve.

It is funny how the memories of some people you meet in your life seem to stick with you.
Steve Young was one such person.
I met Steve in the early days of his RCMP career in Boissevain.
He was always very personable, friendly and professional.
My sincere condolences to his family.

The news of Steve's passing has saddened my heart.
Then I though back of the Amaranth days... You guys were the best neighbours.
Then the Arborg days.......and all the fun we had.
My thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
It has been a long fight with a dreadful disease........and now the fight is over and Steve may rest.
RIP my friend Steve Young!!
