Dear Resby and Kathy; Fran and Vern and families:
I have lots of pleasant memories of your wonderful Aunt Win. Being a very close friend of Fran's, I too called her "Aunt Win". I can remember being a teenager and Fran and I would take the bus to Brandon and stay with her for a day or so, to go shopping! I do think our giggling and goofing around must have nearly driven her crazy, but she would just smile and say, "Now girls, settle down". It was so cute, but we truly treasured those times! She was a sweetheart, no other word for it! I was very fond of her, indeed. Your families will have so many wonderful memories to share. The obiturary was very well written and just how she would have wanted it. Sorry I missed the funeral, she was a great old gal and will be missed by many.

My deepest sympathies to the family. I was fortunate to be a teacher with Win at Fleming School. I learned so much from this caring woman. Winifred was also a friend of my mother, Bessie Thompson, at Hobb's Manor. Winifred always remembered each person with a warm smile and a friendly word or two. I wish I were able to attend the service to celebrate the life of this wonderful woman.

When we think of Aunt Win we feel she was an Aunt who took an interest in who we were, what we were doing, an Aunt who cared for us. We feel we did not see her as much as we would have liked to because of distance. However she was a lady who was well cultured, a very special person. We will miss you Aunt Win. May you rest in Peace.

I have some pleasant memories of a great visit with Winnie last year one afternoon and we reminisced over many events and interesting family happenings at that time. While Winnie was my senior by many years(1920) we still shared many mutual events which happened in and around the Elva area . She was a well respected lady all her life and to see the care and love which her last remaining sister provided for her has been an inspiration. The dedication shown by Resby Coutts and family to his beloved Aunt has also been well noted by me and all of Winnie's grateful friends too

Dear Resby and family,
I was saddened to hear of your Aunt Win's passing as I was one of the many that passed through Miss Greaves classroom at Fleming School back in the 60's. She was a great educator and wonderful person. She will be missed by many.
