Dot has been a member of our social organization - "Club '77" for several years. She has been a driving force on our executive board and most recently served as president until September 2014. Dot had a flair for administration and was much admired for her efficiency and computer skills. She had many friends at Club '77 and she will be missed. We know that Dot faced some personal challenges in life especially with health. We hope that these words will bring some comfort to her family. A donation has been made to Canadian Cancer Society in Dot's memory. May she ever rest in peace!
Sincere condolences,
Members & friends at Club '77

Ken, Wendy and family - so very sorry and saddened to hear of your mom's passing. We worked together for quite a few years at Westoba and had many laughs and good times throughout the years. Dot's determination and strong work ethic carried her successfully throughout her career; she was like a "mother hen" to everyone at the 10th Street Branch and created many life long friendships with staff and members alike. She will be missed and we extend our sincere condolences to all the family in their loss.

Ken, Wendy and families;
Our memories of Dot go way back to Manco Dairy and the Stock Car Club. Remember those hot, dusty race days when the cars got smashed up, then the following week was taken up with repairs??? Over the years our paths have crossed many times and we always had a good visit. Dot was always interested in what was going on with us and our family. We are so sorry for your loss.

I would like of offer my deepest sympathy to Dot's family and I am very sad to have lost such a terrific friend.
Dot and I met at Westoba Credit Union over thirty years ago and we had shared many fun moments of laughter well into our retirement years.
I witnessed Dot's loyalty and her compassion for others but, mostly for her sincere outlook on treating people with respect during life's journey. Dot had a positive will and a determination to move forward in her life no matter what stood before her and I admired her strength. I will always fondly remember the joyous laughter we shared over the years, the many shopping trips and her wonderful conversations.
I am going to truly miss Dot a great deal!
Sincerely, Pat McCormack and family.

Our condolences to Wendy and Ken and families. We to are a part of the Westoba family who have many memories of working and playing with Dot. She was a special person who will be missed. We had not kept in touch with her to any great extent, but did see her just before Christmas and reminisced some. She knew at that time that her cancer had returned. Sorry for your loss.

It was a shock to hear of Dot's passing away. I was just talking to her a week ago and she was not her cheerful self. She was a very special friend and we had many long talks. I worked with her at Westoba. She will be missed by her many friends and family. My deepest condolences go out to the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Dot's passing. It was a shock to hear about this today. I had seen Dot off and on from time to time in and around Brandon. I did not know that she was having health issues as of late. My deceased first husband (Ron Van Achte) and Dot were first cousins and Ron really liked Dot and he had good conversations with her. May God grant her eternal rest in heaven, and may your family be blessed with strength to cope at this difficult time. A very special person has been taken and all of you have your own special memories to share.
Deepest Sympathy and Prayers go out to the whole family.
Lois Van Achte and husband Frank Szturm

My sincere sympathies to you both, Ken and Wendy, and your families...I worked with your Mum at Westoba in the mid-70's...she taught me a lot as I was right out of high school then...We shared many laughs and good times. Connecting in later years for the reunion and retirements, we again had many laughs over those work days so long ago. May all your memories help you through this very sad time.
