I was very surprised to hear of Nelson's passing as I was unaware he was ill. Since getting to know Nelson through his work at DOCFS, I always found him to be a caring and supportive friend. I regret that over the last few years we had not maintained our connection and that I did not see him during his illness. I was unable to attend the funeral due to a crisis with a co-worker but my thoughts are with the family. Nelson will always be remembered fondly.
