Aunt Ruth - as I always called my second cousin - was one of the people through whom God worked to give me - and my wife Mary - salvation. I'm sure that she never gave up praying for me throughout my childhood, youth and young adulthood when I turned away from his constant calling me. When I did come to know Jesus as saviour, I got to know Aunt Ruth better too, as she continued to take an interest in, and pray for, me, Mary, our children and my mother. Mary and I thank God for her life, for all that he did through her, and for all the loving care given to her by so many in the last few years.
