I grew up on 2nd street. I remember many times going down the back alley and stopping to talk to Bill, he was always outside working on something. Mom, Dad and I would go to Central Dances and I would spend time with Bill in the canteen 'helping him'. He loved to tease and he never called me by my name but by a nickname, which escapes me now, but was something like 'Pesky'. I moved away about 40 years ago but have never forgotten him. My sincere condolences go out to his family. Rest in peace, Bill.

I feel honoured to have known "Uncle Bill" for the past seven years. His coffee visits up to the shop were always welcome, with his humor and stories of days past always bringing a smile to my face. He will most definitely be missed by all that knew him. My sincere condolences to all his family. Rest well "Uncle Bill"

Our deepest sympathy to Bill's family. Bill has been a wonderful friend to my family for over 50 years. He spent many Sunday afternoons coming to the farm & visiting with my great-uncles, Jack Bradley & Elgin Bradley, along with my grandmother, Evelyn Joynt & my late grandfather, Richie Joynt. Bill always brought a treat to share with the kids & every Christmas he made sure to stop for a visit & deliver Christmas candy. Our family truly appreciates the friendship we have shared with Bill for so many years. Most recently, Bill came to celebrate my grandmothers 99th birthday in March at Hillcrest Home in Brandon. It was wonderful to see him then and spend one last time visiting. With sincere sympathy, Suzanne Kirkup (Joynt).

I know Bill through Angel Van den Bussche. Bill was so very good to Angel. I had the pleasure of taking him with me when we were invited to Norma & Ed Drabyk's in Carberry. A couple of weeks ago, I helped him put his groceries into his 'old' car at Superstore. Little did I know then that time on this earth was shortening for him. He did tell me that he was feeling rough. Bill was bright & cheery and had a keen sense of humor. Many will remember the great things he did with motors and repairing severl articles.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. My grandparents (Ada & Arnold Rice) lived next door to the Dawson family for years. Many happy summers were spent on 3rd Street......Robyn Reynolds
