I knew Mr Little and Miss Knight when they taught at Holland. They were wonderful personalities and I was thrilled they married the year and month I joined the Air Force, August 1961. They would be parked in Roy's car after school talking and I would stop on my bike during my paper route to talk to them. They were always happy. Elinor was tall and beautiful and Roy was a superlative English teacher. I still recall his question on page one of Pride and Prejudice asking if 5000 pounds per annum was a large income. I have great memories of them both, I was fortunate to know them.

Karen and Kevin, our sincere condolences are with you today, as well as our prayers to help you through this difficult time. Your dad was a wonderful friend of ours for close to 50 years - while we lived in Brandon and after we moved away. We phoned back and forth several times during the year, and he did get to visit us at Laclu, it was a wonderful day and good conversation. You know your dad - he had many areas of life that could strike up a few hours of what he had done during his life, places around the Brandon area and of his passion of teaching English. He always had time and interest in friends and what they were doing. We are sure that the memories of your father will give you the strength and peace to carry on with your family and friends.
Thinking of you as ever - Bill and Gwen Howe and family

Hi Karen & Kevin, I was saddened by your Dad's passing but we also know he is no longer in pain. As you know recently we were able to spend some quality time visiting during the better part of a week and talked about some of our personal history and believe me we had alot of it. We were born two months apart and for most of our 75 years we were more like brothers than first cousins, maintaining contact even while on vacation. We will truly miss Roy. To me he defined the word "friend". While Roy had many accomplishments in life, he felt his greatest accomplishment was his two children and the wonderful adults they became. Our deepest sympathy to you and your families.

Hi, Kevin and Karen, so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. We would visit him occasionally and talk about past times, or he would call us and have a good visit on the phone. He will now be at peace. Our sincere sympathy.
