Dear Jim & Corey .. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Many years ago Debbie & I became friends while we were students at Vincent Massey High School . We shared a passion for horses and it was from Debbie's father that I got my first horse. I remember the days at the Brandon Fair when Debbie would ride her beautiful roan barrel racing horse her dad had brought up from the US. To this day I can see Debbie with her cowboy hat on .. blond hair flying from under the hat as she flew around the barrels ! What a team they made. As time passed and we both went on with our lives.. me moving away ... we lost touch. Two years ago we connected through F/ B and had the chance to catch up. I am so pleased we were able to reconnect and am saddened to learn of her wonderful life being cut so short. It was a pleasure to know her.

Although I have not seen Debbie in a very long time, I have fond memories of her especially at the Brandon Fair..and during the cowgirl/ barrel racing faze of her riding career!! That streak of blonde hair racing around the barrel pattern! You always knew she would go nine-oh and would usually be in the money! It sounds like Deb lived life to the fullest and was surrounded by loved ones thru her short journey here on earth. . Hugs to you Jim, and the family she leaves behind..

Dear Jim & Family: I was so sorry to read this morning the loss of my friend "Debbie". We were great friends and she will sadly be missed. Such a beautiful obituary she wrote on her life...
I have so many memories of the two of us together and all the exciting things we did. We met in high school, hit it off and the fun began. We were like sisters and both our parents appreciated our friendship. When we would walk in the house our parents would always ask us "so what were you two up to to-day", we would look at each and other - start laughing and had a hard time to stop. They would just smile and shake their heads. Deb and I would skip out of school, state we had spares and go visit your mom for coffee and have a great afternoon.
When I think of some of the things we did while going to Neelin High just makes me laugh, as there was never a dull moment. I remember some of the parties the four of us were at & the time we went out at Halloween and we weren't treating!!! Wow, we had many many good times together while
single and married.
Our lives change once we have children as we all get so busy in our lives day to day, and some of us move away. I would always run into Deb somewhere when visiting at home and we would have a great visit over coffee. My mom would would run into Deb quite often and would catch us both up with what was going on with one another.
Debbie was a very happy person with the greatest personality, a loving husband and son. She will never be forgotten.
Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jim and Corey: Just got back and heard about dear Debbie. We were the best of friends all through school until Debbie went to Massey and I went to Neelin. We had the best of times together. I used to love going to her place to ride the ponies! Her mom and dad were such wonderful people! We used to sneak chocolates out of her dad's box when he "wasn't looking"! I have such fond memories of Debbie and all the fun times we shared.
Debbie definitely grew up in a house full of love. It was such a joy to go there and feel just like family. I used to love going out to the barn out the back and wait for Debbie's dad to saddle up the ponies. We used to ride all through the Keystone grounds and down around the old zoo and then up 18th Street when it was just a small two-lane road.
I am so so sorry that I missed her service. I so wish I had been there. What a wonderful life she had, and she lived it to the fullest. Over the years we have bumped into each other a few times and always said that we would meet for lunch one day. We should have had that lunch.
My sincere and deepest sympathy to you both. Take care of each other and let God take care of Debbie.

Dear Jim,
I am very sorry to hear you have lost your beautiful Debbie. Her sunny cheerful personality will be missed not only by her family but also her friends. If I close my eyes, I can see the two of you dancing, so graceful and energetic. Clifford told me that he met you somewhere and learned that she was struggling in the last while.
I am currently in Arizona and not able to attend her service. I loved that she wrote her own life story as an obituary, a joy to read so interesting and eloquent.
Grief is hard. I am glad you have many good friends to easy your way through this sad time.
Sincerely,
Lillian Glenn

Dear Jim and family; Debbie and I were riding friends in the early 70's. Our families stabled their horses in the barns around the race track in the Brandon fairgrounds. Debbie was always kind to me even though I was younger than her. I have lots of good memories of our time together and I am so sorry to hear of her passing. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss.
