Mark and Linda/Dana and Thelma Fisher,
My heartfelt condolences to you on the loss of your mother. I had the pleasure of knowing your mom for a long time and also the pleasure of knowing and working with her in the 4H program, as a community member, neighbor and friend. Her presence in the community, her willingness to listen (and challenge) people's ideas and opinions (and to offer her own!) will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Kind regards,
Ted Eastley

Marg was a great lady. She was a teacher, mentor, and friend to many people in the community in my age group. She encouraged my love of horses through 4-H, and we shared an enjoyment in singing Barbershop music in Souris for several years. She was a good listener, gave great advice, and was a formidable opponent in the debates we shared driving to and from singing. As well, whenever you were a guest in Marg and Trav's home, you were "family". Dana, Mark, and family, we share your sorrow, but will always remember the great memories.

I can remember going to stay at Marg's when I was very little, likely when either Ron or Shelley was born. I loved to look at all the big McCall pattern books she had. I can even remember some of the clothes she made for me! I always enjoyed seeing her in the show ring with her horses and beautiful attire for both herself and her horse.
May all the great memories comfort you in this next while. Our deepest sympathy from the Turner's at Carroll...... Muriel, Murray, Pat, Ron & Shelley

I am honored to have known your Mom for such a short time. We shared many horse stories while in hospital together, plus many other chuckles. I will always remember our last conversation, as she held my hand so tightly and her blue eyes twinkled - as I was discsharging from hospital. She was a special lady.
My husband Cameron & I send our most sincere condolences to your family.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. She and Trav were always close friends of my family (Hope and Emily Turner). I have many warm memories of Marg, too. She taught me to ride so I could show my horse. She also made my prom dress for me. I always enjoyed visiting her. She had a warm, engaging smile, a great sense of humour, and a sense of style that I, as a teenage girl, always admired. I know she will be missed, and my condolences to the family.

Over the years, Janice and I shared many happy times, and many laughs, with Marg, and also with Trav when he was alive. When I was Minister on the Wawanesa, Nesbitt, Brandon Hills pastoral charge, Marg was always so supportive and so kind. We continued over the years since we returned to Ontario to share letters and also visits when we would come back to Manitoba for a holiday. In Marg's home the welcome mat was always out.
She was a wonderful person, was so talented, gave so much of her time and talent to her church and community, and all of us were made richer by her presence and her gift of self.
Marg enjoyed life to the fullest. We, and all others who knew her, were most privileged, and have many treasured memories to keep forever.
To all of her family and friends, Janice and I extend our condolences. We will hold everyone in our thoughts and prayers.
