Rae had a great influence on my life.i was a young attendant at BMHC and he encouraged me to take the psychiatric nursing training. After 42 years in mental health I have retired and I always remember fondly of working along side with Rae.
I always remember Rae as always smiling and very respectful to everyone he nursed and worked with.He was a gentleman and a good friend.

Rae was one of the first members of staff whom I met on the Male Infirmary at BMHC in November, 1966. Having just joined the staff there from England, I could not have wished for a more honest, down to earth and friendly colleague than Rae. I felt immediate respect for him and he helped me to find my feet in my new position in a new country. My heartfelt condolences to his surviving family members. Rae was a Good One. Richard Wilding.

To Marlene and Janice and families I would like to extend our sympathies to you and your families. I have know your dad Rae for over 60 years as he was very good friends of my parents John and Dolly Finkbeiner. They had many happy times together golfing and visiting and especially laughing. I am sure they are once again enjoying each other's company.
