Obituary of Carol Myran

MYRAN: Carol Yvonne (née Sinclair), February 10, 1954 - January 30, 2014. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, niece, cousin and friend. Born February 10, 1954 in Winnipeg, MB, Carol passed away quietly and comfortably on January 30, 2014 in Brandon, MB. Carol spent most of her life in Brandon. She attended David Livingston and Vincent Massey schools before attending Assiniboine Community College where she met the love of her life, Kenneth Myran. They would later marry on September 3, 1977 at Knox United Church in Brandon. Children and grandchildren were a significant part of Carol's life. Her culinary skills shone during family picnics and Christmas dinners. Best pizza in town! Carol also enjoyed such hobbies as gardening and crocheting. She loved to spend time with family. Carol was predeceased by grandparents Jessie and Ceril Andrew; mother Margaret Sinclair; husband Kenneth Myran; step daughter Daphne Myran and numerous aunts and uncles. She is survived by her uncle Jim Sinclair (Janette) of Winnipeg, MB, sister Brenda Sylvester (Gary), Brandon, MB, son Scott Myran, St. Albert, AB, son Kerry Myran, Brandon, MB, daughter Kendra Langen, Brandon, MB. Step children Joyce, Duwayne, Brenda and Anita. Grandchildren Darian, Brennan, Zachary, Zander, Zarah, Keya and Kenslee. Step grandchildren Carol Dawn, David, Michelle, Beth Anne, Anthony, Brandi, Kevin Jody, Leanne and Shawna Lee. Carol will be remembered as a fun-loving charismatic mother and grandmother who sincerely enjoyed life and her family. A celebration of Carol's life will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Brandon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Garry Andrew, Gary Sylvester, David Randall and Scott Myran. Donations in memory of Carol may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 2W8.
