Obituary of Lorne Rice

RICE: Lorne Arnold Rice, beloved husband of Marjorie (née Reynolds), passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the age of 77 years. Lorne was born on March 2, 1936 in Froude, Saskatchewan. Throughout his lifetime, Lorne lived in Roseland, Brandon and had retired to Oak Lake Beach, moving back to Brandon in June 2013. He was employed by T. Eaton Company, Manco Dairy, Brandon Police Service and Riverview Homes. Lorne enjoyed ice fishing, collectables, auction sales and curling. He was most passionate about spending time with his wife of 55 years, Marjorie, and their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. A private family graveside service will be held at the Oak Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lorne may be made to the Samaritan House, "Safe & Warm" program, 630 Rosser Avenue, Brandon, MB, R7A 0K7 or to the Helping Hands Centre, 111-7th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 3S5.
