Lorne passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, surrounded by his family. Known for his strength of character and unwavering love for those around him, Lorne’s presence brought warmth and stability to all who knew him. He will be remembered with love and deeply missed.

Lorne Patterson lived a life defined by resilience and family. He was born on March 13, 1946 in Newdale, Manitoba. The cherished son of Jim and Ann Patterson, Lorne grew up alongside his siblings John, Brian, and Diane; forming bonds that endured through the years.

Lorne will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years Carole. He was a loving father to Martin (spouse Deona), Deborah (spouse Wade), Cheryl (spouse Wes), and Heather (spouse Shawn). His family was his greatest pride, and his values of kindness and integrity live on through them. He was also a proud grandfather to Amy, Tyler, Shane, Brette, and Everly, and a great-grandfather to Jayce and Alyvia, bringing joy and wisdom to every generation.

Lorne had a deep love for farming, which shaped much of his life and character. He also had a passion for travel, finding joy in exploring new places and creating lasting memories with his family. His favorite destination was Hawaii, and he cherished trips with loved ones to Mexico, Cuba, Las Vegas, and the Dominican Republic.

Lorne was a friend to all, always making time for a chat and a visit. His warmth and openness touched everyone he met.

A celebration of Lorne’s life will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8^th Street, on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.
