Obituary of Bernice Flamand

Bernice Carol Flamand (nee Fowell) passed away at the age of 83 at Dinsdale Personal Care Home, on April 16, 2025, in Brandon, Manitoba. Born in Winnipeg October 26, 1941, she was the first of two daughters of Eleanor and Fred Fowell. As a young child, Bernice moved to Brandon where she grew up, attended school and made many friends. She always said her heart was in Brandon, and although she moved to Alberta during the sixties, Bernice moved back to Brandon to reside, raise her four children and enjoy her remaining years. Bernice loved many activities. She was a great cook and baker, and loved to dance. Working at various jobs throughout the years, Bernice took the greatest pride in her final position as switch board operator at Brandon General Hospital.

Bernice was predeceased by her youngest daughter, Roralee. She leaves behind many who love her, including her sister Lauraine (Robert) Maydaniuk, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.  But none will miss her more than those remaining who call her mom…Ronelda, Grant & Roxanne.

In keeping with Bernice’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
